As we prepare to close this year celebrating the holidays that are meaningful to us, I invite you to reflect.
Take the time to reflect on your life, people, meaningful events, experiences, and perhaps even animals that have affected you positively. No matter what holidays you choose to celebrate – Thanksgiving, Chanukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa and the New Year, it’s the time to be gentle with yourself, to give your heart the time and permission to feel and recall everything that happened in 2012… and remembering that the most important things in life, aren’t things.
As I reflect and give thanks, I am grateful and remember my dog Benny, who passed on September 5 of this year, and my mother Carmen, who passed on October 19. Both gave me ongoing love and were always there when I needed them most. Although I cannot see them or touch them now, I will always be able to feel them. I am eternally grateful for all of you, those that know me and those I have yet to meet, for being part of my world and making this a better place to live and be.
